Bloody European cars

On Saturday Phil and I took the new car for a spin and to show mum and Jim. We took them for a crusie around the streets of Milperra and they enjoyed fiddling with all the little gadgets. The ski bag was one of them - thanks mum, I can't get the darn thing back in...

Anyhooooo - we stayed for lunch then went to leave in the afternoon to find our new european machine did not want to start. $160 later (after joining Audi assist, which is equivalent to NRMA) - we were going again. It appears the engine was flooded as Phil was starting the car with his foot on the accelerator. That is a definate no no.

I had to laugh though and our ego was immediately humbled.

Twoddle

I was asked the other day by someone looking at my blog - "What is this twoddle"?

It's a blog!

Why?

Because - well, I don't know, just because.

I'm addicted and it's cheap therapy.

Audi for him and an Audi for her

In keeping to my proud European background - we are now the proud owners of Audi No.2. We were offered a great deal on an Audi Allroad (4WD) wagon - and Phil could not resist. I guess this will be Phil's car.

At this stage we now have 3 cars. The Audi A4, Audi Allroad & Holden Rodeo. We have a slight dilemma in that we can't quite bring ourselves to discard the trusty old Holden Ute.
We most certainly are doing our bit for the environment - that's for sure.

Deck is finished

The deck is finished. Well done Philly...

Dinner with the SLX gang

I had all the gang from work over on Sat night for dinner. It was a great relaxed night. Xiao made the most wonderful spring rolls, Rhonda came with the best Sushi rolls I have ever had.

We managed to get the telescope working and Vlad had a wonderful time trying to locate naked ladies through the windows of homes on the other side of the river. To his dissapointment, the nake lady he did discovour was a statue in someones front yard.

The Meaning of Life?

You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life'

Gentleman seeking kind lady

This is our dear friend Kevin - he is a happy hard working and caring gentleman. We believe there has to be a caring women out there in the universe who wants a loving partner.

OMG it's football

I got all excited about the Rugby League today. Bulldogs against Roosters. I found myself all caught up in the media hype and the fact that Roosters now have half the the Bulldogs players in their coop! Have I indeed given into the frenzy created by the media. Sonny Bill against Willie Masson.

I was brought to total disgusting competition and actually lowered myself to the point of infantile banter with my fellow best friends who happen to be followers of the opposition. Well - my motto is always - what comes around, comes around - and yest the bulldogs lost much to my utter dissapointment and my many "banters" to my fellow mates.

The lesson to be learned. Don't ever get caught up in a such meaningless yobbo sport.

I ended up sitting saying "what am I doing?!!!, I could be spending my time out in the world meeting interesting people, or reading some wonderful literature, or drinking a wonderful bottle of red"!

Grave Cleaning Day

Hong Kong can be a very interesting and bizarre place. I phoned Janine today to hear that her house keeper was off today as it was a public holiday for "Grave Cleaning Day"
