Whilst my boss has been travelling, I have taken the opportunity to take some time off work. Instead of taking a full week or 2, I decided to take Fridays and Mondays off in annual leave for the past 3 weeks. Oh it has been so wonderful. If only I could do that all the time. I got so much done.
I managed to paint the downstairs bathroom, but did a shocking job. I really need to do it all again. I DETEST painting. Philip hates it when he sees me walking through the door with a tin of paint. He knows he usually needs to fix up my mess. Oh well Phil - go for it! it is all yours. I think I would prefer to just have the bathroom renovated - much easier, although not easier on the pocket. I can't believe a bathroom reno can cost $10K. It's ridiculous.
We commence work on extending our back deck next week. We have decided to spend the extra money and have glass panel balustrading to take advantage of the water view. It is worth doing it right first time I think. I'm looking forward to the extra space. We live out on our deck in the summer and the weather has been warming up and we are already outside everyday and cooking on the BBQ.

We also are yet to complete landscaping which Jim will be helping out with and new doors need to put in downstairs. We then only need render the back walls and we are pretty well completed the main part of reno's on the house. Phew. At last..
