Mum, Jim, Phil and I went out to dinner on Saturday night for some delicious Thai food down the road. When we returned home, the boys watched the footy and mum and I got out the trivial pursuit.
I was feeling quietly confident. Mum started off in front, but soon started to stumble when she didn't know the name of the show that put Claudia Karvan into stardom.... Oh Der Fred.. "Secret Life of Us".
Anyway, I ended up winning the game by 3 chips. Mum doesn't count it as a win as she thinks the questions were stupid and does not think my modern version of questions is at all up to her literary and cultured level. Hmmm.... She should catch up - it is now 2007. She could start with tuning out of the ABC and tuning into commercial televesion watching Big Brother, Neighbours, Home and Way (oh by the way - Kate Ritchie announced she is leaving H&A on Sunrise this morning... BIG NEWS of the day!).
Those of you who know mum - she doesn't like losing Trivial Pursuit. Simon will no longer play with her as she calls him a cheat.
